Is using a vaporizing tool a better way to enjoy dry herbs?

This is an important topic, and not just for smokers. People who frequently use burning potpourri, incense and other methods to distribute the smoke from dry herbs to scent the air should also pay close attention here.

Inhaling smoke is bad. It doesn’t matter what the smoke comes from, smoke contains ash, carcinogenic compounds produced by combustion, among many other things, and none of these are good for you. It doesn’t matter if you are just trying to use it as a fragrance to make your house smelled better, or if you are actually a smoker. Inhaling the products of something burning just shouldn’t occur.

The nature of smoke as a caustic substance in general is why smoking is bad for you. It isn’t the nicotine or any other desired organic compounds and various dry herbs that are the problem, it’s the inhalation of smoke itself. This makes incense and burned potpourri just as bad as a lit cigarette, generally-speaking. It may be hard to believe, but it’s true.

Well, there are safer alternatives to this. This comes in the form of vaporizer technology as well as herb grinding technology, two things that go hand-in-hand.

A vaporizer isn’t the same thing as a “vape pen”, though one technology definitely inspired the other. Basically, dry herbs or put through a grinder first, and then they are placed in a chamber separate from a heating coil. However, the ambient heat from the coil heats the herb without burning it, causing all of the oils to evaporate. This is what is either distributed into the room as a fragrance, or inhaled by a smoker.

While this isn’t 100% healthy in the case of tobacco specifically, as tobacco itself is a particularly nasty and toxic plant, it is an order of magnitude safer than burning the stuff. This goes for any other dry herb you may use, be it meant, potpourri or anything else. This is a far safer way to consume or utilize dry herbs, hands-down.

While in the case of smokers, switching to some form of e-liquid with the desired compounds is always going to be something more heavily-recommended, if you want to stay all-natural and use dry herbs rather than solutions, then a vaporizer is the way to go.

The same goes for the grinder, and if you don’t want to have to do it by hand, there exists plenty of electronic grinders out there that can actually do a better job than a manual grinder anyhow. See, for any aspect of using dry herbs or smoking, introducing electricity just seems to be making things better.

Do note that anywhere that has placed a ban on smoking in public places or businesses also prohibits the use of a vaporizer, as well as e-cigarettes and other healthier alternatives. This should discourage you from switching, as the use of a vaporizer eliminates any residual sent on your clothing, and unless you are using a particular type of vaporizer to replace incense, no scent remaining in your environment either. The absence of secondhand smoke is also quite important, and quite a great contribution from this technology. If you are interested in the technology available when it comes to an herb grinder or dry herb vaporizer, most online smoke shops and specialty brick-and-mortar shops have a wide variety of technologies to show you, and they will be eager and excited to share this information with you.
