Is It Safe To Be An At Home Personal Trainer During The Pandemic?

After 2 years, I am certain you are every bit as tired of hearing about this pandemic as I am of writing about it, but, here we are. Is still a prescient issue, and caution will probably be part of our motto is society for decades to come, and while inconvenient in some ways, it’s probably for the best. It’s best if we learn our lessons, that way we don’t have the same problems again, at least in theory. This may make you wonder if it is safe to be or use and at home personal trainer.

Traditionally, and at home PT comes to your home and supervises your workouts, gives you advice, studies your diet and help you to live the healthiest life possible while providing emotional, mental and motivational support. While some people have often scoffed at this idea, the results can’t be argued with, and a great many people improve their lives thanks to the passionate aid of truly caring personal trainers. However, with this need for continued quarantine and unnecessary congregation, is it really safe to have a personal trainer come over? Is it safe for you or for them?

Well, if the proper precautions are exercise on both parts, yes, it can indeed be safe, it’s more about whether or not you consider physical presence to be worth the risk in the interim, however, they do exist a host of solutions that have become emphasize significantly heavily since the advent of this pandemic, another part of that transition towards digital telepresence over physical congregation. Just like doing away with the need to be present in offices, classrooms or brick-and-mortar locations for shopping, you can also use the Internet and voice over IP with video to achieve a lot of things that other services would provide such as therapy, psychiatric services, technical support and, yes, coaching and personal training as well.

The baseline implementation of this is simply to have your phone or tablet Handy, so your personal trainer can be there to talk to you as you exercise, to discuss your diet with you, and to just have general conversations with you to provide you with motivation and advice. However, not unlike coaching that has gone digital in the light of this pandemic, and at home personal trainer can best serve you if you also have something like a biometric smart watch so they can see your vitals and get even more precise information than they did in the old days.

This may lack some of the personal touch that having them physically there had, but I suspect that in a few generations, things like an at home PT where they are going over video chat is going to be just as satisfying in common as physical presence, as current generations in the increasingly digital age have cared less and less about physical socialization anyhow. You can’t take risks with your life, and if you are seeking a personal trainer, that means you take your health and well-being seriously. Be smart, but don’t give up on your dreams to live a healthier life just because of the specter looming over society!
